Strong and healthy teeth are pertinent for the general health and well-being of one's body. It is rightly said that set of teeth defines one's health. Alternatively, all food gets transported to our system through our teeth. If our teeth are unhealthy, then the food which goes inside could also be perceived as not healthy. Therefore, it should be a priority to keep our teeth healthy and strong. Likewise, for very young kids, good oral habits can ensure them stronger and healthy teeth in the future. There are variety of methods suggested, and hundreds of dental products available in the market which assures one strong and healthy teeth. However, the secret behind getting strong and healthy teeth is very basic in nature.
One should use fluoride toothpaste, as fluoride makes teeth durable and strong. Before brushing, toothbrush must be soaked in cool water, followed by applying fluoride to its bristles. Minimum two minutes of brushing is required on a daily basis. Your brushing direction must be back and forth, in order to avoid damaging of gums. A toothbrush should be ideally from a reputed company manufacturing products pertaining to oral hygiene. Teeth should be brushed thrice daily, preferably after every meal.
Health of the teeth also depends on the food we consume. Calcium-rich foods such as yoghurt, milk, cheese, paneer can instill the necessary health quotient in the teeth. Moreover, a good supply of daily intake of vitamin A and vitamin C could be beneficial for your gums. Likewise, daily intake of vitamin B and iron is good for general dental health. Daily supply of vitamin B and iron could be sought from the intake of whole wheat. Soy milk and orange juice contain essential nutrients which are beneficial for your dental health. Intake of tea once every day provides natural fluoride. However, it is required that your tea does not contain sugar. Sugar intake is not good for teeth. Tooth decay is mainly caused due to unnecessary intake of sugar.
One does not have to over eat or indulge in over consumption of any specific foods. While fruits, vegetables and protein should be included in your balanced diet schedule, over consumption of protein could hamper the absorption of calcium. Over consumption of protein prevents your body from absorbing calcium. Intake of multivitamins is necessary if one cannot have a balanced diet.
Green tea has special ingredients that can prevent tooth decay as well as destroy the bacteria. In other words, green tea helps protect one's oral hygiene. Although it is recommended to brush your teeth thrice a day preferably after meals, it cannot be carried out by certain office goers on a daily basis. Such people can cultivate the habit of swishing water in their mouth after eating.
